Bishop's Bread

Bishop's Bread

6 cups flour (or 3 cups whole wheat flour & 3 cups 1 minute oats)

1 cup butter

4 cups brown sugar

1 teaspoon salt

Mix together. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture in small bowl to the side. To the first bowl add:

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups butter milk

4 teaspoons cinnamon

Mix well and pour into two 9X13 inch greased baking pans. Sprinkle the reserved dry ingredients over the top and cook 30-45 minutes at 375 degrees.

A large recipe for a large family. We love to have this for breakfast once in a while for a

change. Enjoy!
